Religious Education

Religious Education

One of the largest responsibilities and also greatest joys of our parish is working with parents in helping to form the next generation of disciples. We have excellent programs in both our parish school, Alphonsus Academy & Center for the Arts and our Religious Education program held on Tuesday evenings.

Through these two ministries, our parish offers religious education to children in preschool through eighth grade.

Alphonsus Academy & Center for the Arts

At our parish school, we inspire and enable our children to reach their full potential by providing a rigorous education combining academic excellence, an arts-integrated curriculum, and a strong Catholic foundation.

Please visit our parish school website at www.alphonsusacademy.org to learn more about our programs or contact Director of Admissions, Mary Bodlak at mbodlak@aaca.school or 773-348-4629 ext. 125.

Tuesday Religious Education Program

Classes began Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 6:15 p.m.

The Religious Education Program serves children in K-8th grade. Classes are held each Tuesday evening from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. from September to early May. The program is conducted in our parish school. We also take students transferring from other programs, with a transfer letter from their previous parish or Catholic school. Volunteer catechists are the backbone of the program, giving hours of time and dedication. Please reach out if you are interested in contributing your time and talents to our parish in this capacity!

Religious Education for Adults

We offer a variety of programs and special events to help the members of the parish grow in their faith and their spiritual lives. We welcome a number of adults into the Catholic church each year.
