The music ministry of St. Alphonsus is dedicated to excellence in liturgical music. We seek to inspire and lead the assembled worshipers each Sunday in a variety of hymns, songs, and great choral music. Each choir has a unique role in the parish’s life.
New volunteer choir members are always welcome. For more information or to schedule an audition, contact Music Director, Brian Bloye at email@example.com.

The St. Alphonsus Choir
The St. Alphonsus Choir sings at the 10:30 a.m. liturgy each Sunday from October through Corpus Christi.
In addition to leading congregational song, we sing a variety of challenging, often unaccompanied choral repertoire: four- to eight-part anthems in all styles, Latin Masses and motets, chants, Gospel spirituals, and newly-composed music.
The choir rehearses on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. prior to Mass. We meet one evening per month to prepare for larger works and liturgical feasts.
The St. Alphonsus Ensemble
The St. Alphonsus Ensemble leads the music at the 5:00 p.m. liturgy on Sundays from October through Corpus Christi. Singers are joined by piano, bass, percussion, and other instruments. The music has a contemporary appeal and can be both energizing and reflective. We rehearse on Sundays at 3:30 p.m. prior to Mass.
The Latin American Choir
The Latin American choir sings at the 12:15 p.m. Spanish Mass, as well as special liturgies, such as Our Lady of Guadalupe, Nuestro Señor de Esquipulas, Ash Wednesday, and Corpus Christi.
The German Choir
The German choir has sung continuously at St. Alphonsus for almost 60 years. The choir sings the first Sunday of each month at the 9:15 a.m. German Mass. At Christmas and Easter, The German Choir is joined by The St. Alphonsus Choir to form a festival ensemble of more than 60 singers.
